The ACLU is not interested in hearing or understanding others they are only interested in their beliefs and all others are wrong they wont fight for the boy wanting to pray for a test but they will fight for a person to have a partial birth abortion and child molesters to be able to hide their identity why? why do all republicans get the shaft cause of Bush? I am neither though most of my beliefs you can say could be conservative but atleast Reps. get things done Al Qaeda attacked us in 1998 and killed hundreds of amreicans and injured thousands others that is not 9 11 that was US embassey and all Clinton did was freeze their assets why? I am not a Clinton Basher nor do I blame him for 911 there is only one group to blame Al Qaeda let us not forget that but we do why? Abortion, we have condomns, birth control pills patches and shots and diaphrams so why do we still allow abortions? these are a few of my questions not asked out of hate but I truely wish to know an answer

I agree with you, there are only certain circumstances that i would get an abortion, either if i was raped, (which i would report and try to take care of it right after it happened) or incest, or if the baby would come out and be a vegetable its whole life, women are getting themselves knocked up all the time and just think "i'll just get an abortion if i'm pregnant" they are just plain unresponsible, if anybody really believes that there isn't something alive inside of them, then why are they in such a hurry to get rid of it????
the ACLU supports NAMBLA, the Man Boy Love Association which promotes pedophilia among men and young boys, what does that tell you?

I'm not going into your arguments of 9-11, abortion, etc. Your "question" could be answered by people for days.
I will answer to one part, the ACLU fights for Civil Liberties. Sometimes people have rights to do things that are annoying (KKK parades) but if we do not stand up for their rights, or if we pick and choose who should get what rights, then the Freedom that we cherish as Americans is completely gone. The ACLU goes by the constitution and fights for our constitutional rights--so it is the constitution that decides who they are fighting for. You may not always agree with their plaintiffs, but in the end they are really fighting for all of us.

About 9 or 10 years ago I asked the ACLU to help my brother who was imprisoned without any proof or witnesses and then was not given his heart medication. They asked me if he was white (which he is) and then told me they wouldn't be able to help without getting any other facts. What American Civil liberties do they defend? Mark Sanford the now Governor of S.C. helped me and my brother within days of me contacting his office.

When they stop being the American Communists and Liberals Union, and start being the American Civil liberties Union, as in 'concerned with your liberties as a law-abiding american citizen' and stop catering to crooks, outright criminals, foreign countries and so forth, I'll be a whole lot happier with em.
The Democrats have miles to go, as well, in proving that yes, they are for americans first and foremost, and not serving the needs and interests of some foreign country etc. It takes something called 'integrity' to avoid being someone else's 'tool',
let's hope they bought a supersize box of integrity out of their own pocket before they all ran for office...

Aclu's not all bad. They DO defend minorities,including right-wing minorities.
It's not anti-prayer.It is seperation of church and state.
Consider the alternative.
