try thinking of something calm. Also think about something u like or want to do ofor most guys its dreaming about women but for the ladies it could be anything they enjoy and think about that when trying to go to sleep also u could think of place where u want to be or u could also try to calm ur mind by thinking of solution that would make u fell happy for ur problems

Give your brain something else to do, that's why 'counting sheep' is one way to get to sleep. You could read until you are so sleepy that you just fall asleep. I suggest reading something boring, or at least not stimulating. lol.. You could play a game online that is repetitive, such as Poppit on pogo.com, the repetitiveness of that puts me right to sleep. ;)

Another good thing to try is listing on paper what problems your brain keep tussling with. Writing them down like that helps to clear your mind. Then the next day spend some time thinking about each thing that's listed and try to come up with a solution for each one. Then at night when trying to sleep, your brain will have less to tussle with, and if that continues, write down what you are thinking about, and tell yourself you'll deal with it later, relax.

Another good thing after having done the above, but your brain just keeps on going, is to develop a nice fantasy and think only about that. Likely you'll drift off into sleep before your fantasy is over. More's the pity. hehe ;)

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

Well, I listen to Kenny-G or Angela Christy. the instrumental really calms me down and relaxes me. Maybe you could try peaceful, relaxing music.
