Funny, I thought about that too. Not only are there people of European descent in Africa but most north Africans (Berbers and Arabs) are classified as 'white' too. I wish we could get rid of all the racial labels and just be HUMAN. Also, some East Indian and Native Americans are as dark as or darker than 'black' people. Racial labels are stupid.

All fine and well I understand what you are saying He is a Caucasian ( race) with the nationality of African described and an attribute only to his home land not race! and most likely "South African and yes you are correct again about the backs in the Latin American countries and this is because they too are considered black - AHHHH! You didn't know that now did you!!
now allow me to move on to your other point and stress facts alright!
once again my friend you are correct there is no African American the term is wrong! I am Nubian and black from Africa meaning i am African and we know we are black African not at all associated with American we have been brought or came here or was here and to stress why this is important to stress is America means we had something to do with the pillaged against all those whom were here first you know this country should rightfully be called something the natives Americans chose to call it not what a the terrorist called it!
now the!
hay you know it is time for the America to redeem itself with properly healing which it has yet to do to those whom has survived the wrong treatment of the color humans here!
Look to have fun with this you the descriptions should read:
Check box - are you a black black or white black being hay everyone of the colors which exist has came from the black man race and place!

"Black/African American" means "Black or African American," not "Black African American." It's like lumping African Americans together with Blacks. A White African is still an African.

African American really only applies to black citizens of America - you could say African for anyone of any race from the continent of Africa, but if you want to be specific about race you could say Black, white, or caucasian. I just refer to black people as black people, to my knowledge it doesn't offend anyone, I'd rather be called white then caucasian - that is just too stuffy sounding!

I know a white African in college. He checked African-American on his paper-work. He said that what he is and I guess he is right. He recieved so many grants for blacks because he checked AA on his forms.

I believe that it was black people that wanted to be referred to as African/American. I can't keep up with what is politically correct, I must say it makes me tired.
