ummmmmm well I definately wouldn't have a threesome.
If I liked him first and I told her I liked him and then she started to like him after then I hope that she would not make a move as I would completely do the same if she was in that situation. If she did do that though then I'd probably get really upset. If we both liked him at the same time then well, I dunno, whoever he likes I guess. Its all well and good fancyin the same guy as your best friend but at the end of the day this guy may not have the kind of personality that you or your friend may be attracted to or maybe one of you would be and the other not.
You just need to keep thinking, what is more important...your love life or your friendship with your best friend.

I would pretend I fancied the worst looking guy I'd ever met just to see if she fancied him as well and if she did then I'd think about getting another friend as she obviously wants whatever you have and doesn't really care about your feelings.

listen hon, a man really is not worth loosing a good friend over. If she is a good friend and she knows you like him, she'll probably back off, but don't do the undignified cat fight thing. Presumably the bloke in question is not blind, he'll find you if he likes you!

if i were u i would just confront her and say "hey whats the deal. one of us can have him but not both" just let him choose but dont let him come between you. a friendship is way more important then a guy.
