Is that the whole question???

Induction generally cuts down on the number of possible customers in the hospitality business. By taking able-bodied men out of the general population and inducting them into military service, not only these men, but also their families are less likely to travel and eat out, etc.

However, hospitality outlets in the immediate vicinity of military bases could have bursts of extra business for furlough weekends, graduation ceremonies, etc.

Most bases have their own temporary family quarters and eating establishments with rates greatly lower than normal market. However, some bases farm out food service and even lodging service to established firms, at least occasionally.
