I don't think he's smart enough to cut his losses, and his handlers are smart enough to realize it'll look like an admission of guilt.
Besides, when has GWB ever admitted he was wrong about anything?

I think the Dems should follow Pelosi's lead and not try to hang Bush--let him hang himself. Don't try to make him a criminal (even though it would be possible) and start another round of bickering and a lockdown on the government like we saw at the end of the Clinton presidency.
Instead pass progressive legislation that isn't super-leftist, and make Bush decide whether to veto or pass it. If the Dems can prove that Bush is anti-school, anti-worker, anti-freedom, cares nothing about health care or social security and that the only thing he is for is big business, they win the presidency in 2008. If Bush passes bills on these subjects, the Democrats win those victories. Now is the time to force Bush to show his true colors, not the time to criticize things that happened five years ago, as upsetting as they are.

Resign for what? Stop listening to the liberal media and look at the facts.

No he is sporting a big political black eye and clearly the message has been sent that he is seen as a dismal failure.

I'd be very surprised. It will never happen. There will be a lot of posturing and talk, then in the end nothing will happen.

Prosecution for what? You keep forgetting that he has done nothing wrong. When facts are given to you from multiple sources, it is not a lie to state what was told to you.
Not to mention that they did find WMDs. Don't you liberals read anything outside of your daily talking-points memos?
