I would say the most spiritual play in football has to be a goal line situation in the last seconds of a game and being down by 4 or more. Defense is praying for a stop, offense in praying for a touchdown. Another spiritual play is an onsides kick which much like a Hail Mary is a prayer.
If Doug Flutie is going so is Kordell Stewart. LOL!

Well, if the "Hail Mary" pass is the most spiritual play, than it is the most unanswered play by God, because I never seen it work when it was used (at least in pro-football games). Doug Flutie did complete one and he had to be thinking in his mind that God must have been paying attention this time.

No, the most spiritual play is the opportunity each man gets to see and play a game that day

Taking a knee seems kind of like showing humility, and it gives you time to meditate on the answer for the next play.

Yes it is and yes he is. Second most spiritual play would be a last second feild goal over 50 yards.

As is Roger Staubach and Drew Pearson....they are the ones that did it first......I think......I guess the "Statue of Liberty" play would be the most "patriotic"!!
