I'm trying to stop a blackberry invasion. It seems to me that Round Up used to be instant death for any plant it touched. Lately, those gallon-size, pump and squirt containers just seem to brown the leaves a little, then they spring back.

Yes they have. Go to a farm store and by a qt of roundup (32$)Dont add just a capful add a cup to the sprayer along with some liquid detergent and spray away. Buying the jugs the ratio of water to roundup is very low. There are other chemicals out there that will kill woody stemmed (blackberry) bushes readthe labels

No, but they have made different versions so make sure you get the right one. For the gallon size pumpers make sure you get the one with the orange on the handle for Tough Brush. It will still take down brambles. (However--make sure the temp is 65 or above. Roundup (or most weed killers) never have worked well below that temp.

Go for the 'pure' one that needs to be diluted.....those that are dilluted already to go are a waste of time and money...

Tony, READ THE LABEL

Round-Up is for grassy weeds, not vines.
