If so what was the name of the band?

No he wasn't He was a bluecoat at pontins and did stand up comedy in clubs around Britain. He did appear as Danny Zucko in Grease for i think it was about 3 years and had his own show Seaside Special but he was never in a band....

He did use to tour the provincial theatres with a comedy act, and do Panto/Summer shows!

i don't think so, but he should be banned! i just remember him singing every saturday solo in those awful seaside specials on itv in the 80's.
