I went through a phase where I had to tell everyone how much they meant to me - it's second nature - I don't get wishy washy just truthful - and it doesn't happen to often.

Basically one day i got an email from a colleague talking about how we must take the opportunity to show our love even if they get on our nerves all the time. There are people out there who lose loved ones and will never get that chance again. I felt weird but I knew I had to do it too and I did - I was surprised that my family didn't tell me to pull myself together - rather they showed love back.

Most importantly is to spend time with them creating memories you will have for a lifetime. It sounds kind of cheezy but it is certainly true. Dont misunderstand and assume I mean to take them everywhere and everything. Its the simplest things that you will cherish the most. Example: I spend time w/ my boys everynight and put them in bed. They call me back in there for extra kisses and hugs for 5-10 min before I can leave them alone.

My family is my fiance and my soon to be step son
I love to cook for them and make sure they are comfortable when they get home..
they have clean clothes, clean house, and I am there to listen to what happened through out their day.
If they run in to any problems they can tell me
I take care of them in anyway possible

It's so hard when you get caught up in your day to day life..... jobs, kids, etc. I'm not very good at it either; but I know better! Tell them how much you love them every time you talk to them, remember them on birthday and try to be with them on holidays! and try to never take them and their time on earth for granted. If you still live with them tell them how much you love them, help them when they are in need and be there for them when they need a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to (even children can be listeners for their parents). <3 Good Luck

you do random things for them, leave love notes for your wife/husband around the house, take your kids to school in the morning instead of making them ride the bus, cook dinner for them, take them out on the town, etc etc

Be there when they need you, and always when you talk to one of them, by phone or in person, never forget to say I love you!
