They resemble humans. Their actions are so human like that it is entertaining. Also they throw poo, that is hilarious.

I myself like monkeys but not the real kind, I like the ones like cartoons, you know like you see on jackets, I think REAL monkeys are ugly but the ones on shirts and jackets are cute, but that is only my opinion of them.

Everyone like their blood-relatives.Somehow humans r related to the monkeys...and they r called as our ancestors.So its natural...that humans r attached to them.

Someone did a study once that showed that children liked animals that looked more like humans.
The kids didn't like the birds as much as the mammals, except for peguins.
Mammals look and act more like humans, so we associate their actions with things we do. its called anthropomorphisation.
