I had my children's cribs

and are using it for thier own children's

I saw a very cool bench made from a crib. One headboard was the back of the bench and the other headboard was cut in half and formed the sides. then a seat was added between the sides! I have a photo - too bad we can't post them here.
There is a similar one with instructions on hgtv.com- Carol Duvall show.

How about somehow using it in your yard, as an ornamental planter? You'd probably have to cut off the legs, and use the bed and bars directly on the ground. Some vining plants would look great climbing around the bars.

you could use it as a love seat simply by taking off one set of siderails, and screwing on a piece of wood the same length However, make sure you have the platform secured with screws as they tend to fall off with more than 50 pounds of weight

Put a jail scene, with little dolls thatb have your friends and relatives names om their shirts and cut out pictures of them on their little faces. Show your spouse likeness hugging the bars to get out, or rubbing their tin cup against the bar rails. Have a wild life in the zoo display.
