Because they get so used to the smell that they do not smell it. It's like wearing cologne. When you first put it on, you smell it, but after a short while, only others smell it.

I have no clue but I have smelled a few of them and it makes me want to vomit... as a matter of fact on of my friends boyfriends wears Polo cologne and everytime he wears it I swear he smells like urine, and the funny thing is the fact that my friend loves the way it smells.

Possibly because they have built up an immune to the smell.
Like when you have gas, fart up a storm in your room and it doesn't smell to bad...but you leave and come back and almost pass out.
When you live in a house that stinks, you stink etc, you can't smell it.
Maybe someone should tell this poor pee person that they reek?

Is the question: Can a person smell like urine and not know it......the answer is yes....yes they can, people who urine in the bed become acclimated to the smell and its no longer an abnormal smell to them.
