My son has a Power Wheel 4-Wheeler that he got for his 2nd birthday and he loves it!!!!! It is the best money we ever spent on a toy. He drives it everywhere. The charge on it lasts a very long time too. I say definitely get the Power Wheel!

I think the mustang power wheel would be a great gift, if she's afraid of it just take the battery out until she's older. She can just sit and pretend in it until she's ready.

Maybe your kid won't remember that he/she got the present for Christmas at that age--so you might not have to give anything. =P
(your excuse later can be that I'm giving you a place to live and food to eat all year)
But Elmo sounds good. =)

Some kids love them but my son, who is 18 months, is terrified of his, so it kind of depends on the child.
