Depends on your core beliefs. The descriptions below are generalizations, and in no way meant to be critical of either side.

Do you want big government and social programs to cover everything even though this will come with higher taxes? If so, you are a democrat.

Do you want small government with less programs, but lower taxes? If so, you are a republican.

Do you believe people should be permitted to own guns? If so, you are a republican. If not, you are a democrat.

Do you believe people should be permitted to have abortions? If do, you are a democrat. If not, you are a republican.

While I might not agree with what all Democrats say and think... I do agree mostly with their beliefs and ideas of what is best for our Country.. so I consider myself a Democrat.. I agree more with them than I do with the Republicans
