One side says the Free-masons require only a belief in a Supreme Being, but nothing further. Another side says they revere pagan gods through symbols and imagery. Which is true? And if they only require faith in a Supreme Being, what the heck do they do at their meetings? My great-grandpa is a Free-mason and he just says they require belief in a Supreme Being, but why do I hear about head-honcho Free-masons claiming the group is essentially pagan? And don't bother discussing the Founding Fathers I already know about all that stuff, but I still don't see any actual proof of WHAT they do.

Why dont you just talk to your grandfather about attending a meeting and you will see for yourself. Also realize nowdays there are different denominations like christianity. These groups all have similar but different beliefs. There is also a group that is run by women.

In truth, most Freemasons do not even know what goes on at the levels beyond the 33rd degrees. I have been told that for someone to be taken beyond the 33rd they must be willing to acknowledge deities of ancient Egyptian-based theology. A Freemason of the Scottish Rite told me this.
