I'm a Christian, but I don't believe in this. Is it not hypocritical to promote oneself as a Christian but then support this kind of action?

"Judge not, that ye be not judged" (Matt. 7:1)

I've read this question on here a thousand times it seems but I don't think it's just the Christians doing the judging here. Seems like a lot of folks are pointing fingers and calling names. It's not right for anyone to judge anyone. God and He alone has that right and on the day of judgment I hope to be standing behind some of these folks because my sins won't look near as bad.

What gives you the right to judge that so many Christians judge other peoples actions?? I'm Catholic, and I know many Christians, and I don't think they are all so judgemental. Remember, being a Christian does not make you Jesus - we are all human, and sadly, it is human nature to look at others and sometimes judge - we are no where near perfect and can only try to be the best we can.

I judge sometimes when necessary. You have to if it involves you or your family. U do judge. U just may not notice. Judging who u need to be around and who u can live without is called good judgment. I judged my brother when he said he didnt care if he abused drugs around kids. Judging by that comment I no longer let my children stay with him and his family. I think that was smart on my part. People that dont care about their own lives and others around them need to be judged then left alone if it were a case like mine. God gives u human instinct to judge whether or not to be around certain people. I am not talking about judging a homeless man for being homeless. Or judging a man for being on crack or poor. I dont judge other countrys for their belief. Whether it is right or wrong what they do. We will know all facts when we go home to our Father. So separate the type of judging that is necessary in order for u to stay out of prison, off the streets, off drugs and being unhappy in life.

When it comes to other Christians, we are to judge each other, by Gods standard, but when it comes to non-believers that is Gods job alone.

Actually, my friend, you have quoted that verse out of context.

The whole rest of the chapter is where Jesus tells that we need to judge but we should judge correctly.

You are not alone, that is, in my opinion, the one verse in the Bible which is most often quoted out of context.

I must agree with you. Christians tend to judge all the other religions, because they think they are nearest to God.
I am Christian too, but to me, everyone's equal, whether they are Muslims, or Jews, or other Christians. After all, we're all human beings, created by The One (even if every religion calls Him somehow else).

Because these type of christians are the ones who wants to be hollier than thou and are in error to judge. When they judge the bible says they also will be judged. So I would let God worry about this and just pray for them/

They do? To tell you the truth, most people don't care one way or the other these days what "other" people believe, do, or think. I'm one of them. Live and let live............
