I assume that you are a licensed funeral director, since in most states you must be in order to own and/or operate a funeral home. Look on the NFDA website or your state association'swebsite, they generally have classified ads of businesses for sale.

Funeral homes are hard to find. They are mostly converted residences that are used as a funeral homes. The only real work you would have to do is converting the basement and most likely getting permits. The rest of the interior you would have to finish interior larger seperate rooms for services. You would have to specifically find a residential home that is zoned for business. Before you even look to purchase you should consult your local building/planning department to see the proper procedure to do this. After that consult a realtor to locate this kind of property.

There's one that's been out of business for a while and looks like it's for sale. Located on Bath Ave (between 18th and 19th Avenues) Brooklyn, NY 11214
