We live in Hawaii and went out looking for live rock. We found alot of good rock but.....?

we found one that is blue and purple and squishy. It is very pretty and very fragile. Any idea as to what this is? Help please.

I'm not absolutely sure but it sounds like what you found was not a rock but an animal. Two come to mind either coral or you have a Sea Cucumber

sea algea or sponge from way down under or a piece of the great barrier reef

it is most likely coral.
