The house was lost because of the vote. We diddn't demand a recount and no one is saying the election was "stolen" like the Democrats did. We simply take it with dignity and go with the flow.

Rumsfeld resigning shows he can't take the heat and he does not deserve the title "republican". I could handle if he was fired, but to resign based on the very thing you started is chickenshit.

I am a republican and i am proud of my governmental system. This shows that it works. The people voted and results came back.

What is going to beat down on the Democrats now is the fact they used the War as the platform for their campaign. They kept saying "elect me and I will bring our troops home". Fact is, the house and even the senate cannot do this. It is a presidential decision.

So what will the Democrats most likely do instead of focusing on the problems on the plate for America? They will try to investigate and impeach bush for the next two years.

I pray I am wrong, but it is clear they will try. When the Primaries roll around, Iraq will be no closer to ending and the people will see that the Democrats did nothing they prommised.

Its not "how far" the Republicans are going to fall, but, how far the Democrats are going to take us?

Lets face it, its in their hands now, and if they drop the ball, they will have a very hard time getting it back again after the "next" election. (I will have to give it to them in this one coming up for President, since they have the House and Senate).

Its thier ball game, now, all you will see is investigations where they will "pad" thier buddys pockets, (those special prosecutors) with all the things that they are going to challenge. Even though, they voted for the War in Iraq, now they are all going to do an about face! So, lets hear it for pocket padding, and all the other things wrong that the Democrats will do, as the Republicans padded thier pockets also...

(The only difference between a Republican and a Democrat is that the Republicans will hoard the money for themselves, and the Democrats will hoard the money for themselves and thier closest friends).

I wish you well..

Jesse

No, forget the impeachment stuff, that's a waste of time.

I think the distance they fall is based on how well the democrats act. If they work together and show they are willing to come up with good ideas and include the rep. they may wipe them out in the next election.

But, not a chance they will show that much sense.

The democrats have already decided against impeachment. We will be seeing investigations into recent congressional scandals (e.g. how long did the republicans know about Mark Foley & why didn't they do anything about it) and the real biggie.....did Bush lie to congress & Americans in order to go to war against Iraq.

I wrote a song. You should sing it to the tune of "Augustus Gloop" from Willy Wonka.
Republicans! Republicans!
We kicked them out because we can!
Republicans, you're wrong you see,
To legislate morality!
"Come on," we cried, "The time is ripe,
To end this stupid partisan tripe!"
But don't dear children be alarmed
Republicans will not be harmed!
Republicans will not be harmed!
