If you want to wipe your old computer clean before you give it back to the company, download this software and follow the instructions:
http://download2.lsoft.net/killdisk.zip
It will completely wipe out all data on your computer. No, your new computer will not magically know who your friends are and your contact lists, etc. You'll have to write that stuff down or put it on a CD or something before the new computer shows up. If you use webmail to get your email, it'll still be there. If you use Outlook, then they'll all be gone unless you back them up first.

all your information on the computer will be lost, anything you have like pictures, text, email that you have saved on your computer will be deleted. you might want to back up your information and files on ether a CD or DVD. that's if you do have a CD or DVD righter drive. or you could try backing the information up on a Flash drive or more known as a pen drive, these are reuse-able storage devices and are quite cheap these day.
Best advice for you is to get all the information on your computer you want to keep ie:
Documents, pictures, emails you have saved, things you have downloaded (programmes etc) and copy them all in to one new folder on your desktop.
Please note: Don't included system files if you can.
Them right click the folder with the files you want to keep and go down to 'Properties' and a box welcome up giving you information about whats in the folder, things like, how many files are in the folder, and size (in Megabytes) or everything added up in the folder. use this key to find what you might need to back up your information.
Up to 512MB of data use a Pen drive that is sized over 512MB. these cost about £12
Try this from ether Curry's or PC world:
http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0397957759.1163014301@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccgcaddjfmihljhcflgceggdhhmdgmh.0&page=Product&fm=1&sm=9&tm=3&sku=254387&category_oid=-27485
Up to 700MB of infomation use a Blank CD and CD wrighter drive. you can pick up single blank disc's from just about anywere but best to get a more (somthing like 10)
You can use these to back up your infomation, just use more than on if you need to.
Upto 4,700MB (thats 4.7GIG) use a blank DVD and DVD wrighter drive, same again with the DVD as with the CD's, they are good ifyou have lots of music.
Last is an external HDD (hard disc drive) these are the best for backing up infomation as you can get really huge Drives to back up your data.
Hope this helps.

If you have a recovery CD, put it in and reboot the computer. This will reinstall Windows and restore the computer to 'factory settings'

You need to ask the company this question. Transfering all your information is very possible, but they could very well just not do it for you. Ask them to and you will recieve.
