I love Kermie, but my favorite was Janet. She was the stoned-looking hippe chick in the band.

Gonzo is actually a 'frackle'. In his first appearance (on a different show) he lived in a cigar box, so he used to be referred to as 'the cigar box frackle'. Frackles are small, furry, monsters with beaks (you've undoubtedly seen other frackles on the show). His race is also sometimes referred to as 'weirdo' and 'whatever'. In one of the movies, Gonzo is actually an alien.
My favorite character is the guy with the boomerang fish act (his name is actually Lew Zealand). AND he can play the fish organ. What other muppet can say that? He didn't have a huge part, but he was the best!
Dr Bunsen Honeydew had some good points too, but his act never quite struck the same chord with me, for some reason.

Mcgruff, because he played the piano. I liked Kermit and Gonzo I like the lady too because they only showed her stockings. I think Gonzo was some type of bird, or an alien.

Gonzo is a weirdo. What that specifically is, I don't know.
I really like the little shrimp guy (sorry, prawn) that was Dorothy's pet in the Muppets Wizard of Oz movie. Don't know if he ever made it onto the show itself but I like him, okaaaay?

My favorite is Rizzo the Rat. Gonzo isn't supposed to be anything really. He doesn't even know what he is. He calls himself a "whever"

I like Beeker, the swedish chef, animal, and the two judges that sit up in the balcony. I loved that show, I havent caught an episode in a long time.
