Personally I hope the Democrats do begin impeachment proceedings immediately following their January inauguration. This will consume all of their time until the next election cycle and will incense voters who do not support impeachment. The fact that Democrats could never remove the president shouldn't matter to them either because they are going to need something to do with their time. Democrats are as much lame ducks as the president is now, or have you all forgotten about veto power. Government for the next 2 years will be a stalemate and Democrats do not have the majority required to remove the president. If Democrats are smart they will abandon any plans of retribution for the past and move forward with meaningful bi-partisan legislation, otherwise they are likely to find themselves out of power again in 2 years. Democrats campaigned for change the American public is now expecting them to put up or shut up.

Maybe you should get over it and suggest some useful ideas. It takes a 2/3 vote in the senate, I know only a minor point.

Frankly, I think that would be a waste of time. Then the next 1-2 years will be dominated by impeachment related stuff.

Don't you think we could spend our time more productively?
