Your Dr is in no way saying its time for you to be running marathons or taking up a new exercise routine that your body is not already use to!Active while pregnant is basicly what your body is use to already doing.Exercise during pregnancy is very good for you physically and it also makes the birthing process easier on you! If you are already a very fit person and do very strenuous exercises I think maybe you should discuss this with your Dr because you don't want to overdue it,There are things that we just simply can not do when we are pregnant that aren't a problem when we are not!! Walking is always good for anyone truthfully I think the best thing is to keep your normal routine of course stress is not good for anyone who's pregnant so you should relax just not lay around and not move I think that is all your Dr is saying to you!Congratulations on your new edition! And Brightest of Blessings to you and your unborn child good luck Hun!!

Do what you would normally do, exercise and all. Just don't over do it. You'll be fine. You eat more when you are pregnant. That's one of the reasons the doc wants you to stay active. If you stay active through out the pregnancy you'll be able to lose most the weight fairly easy after giving birth.

I had this teacher once that even though she was full term, she still rode a bike to the gym and taught aerobics once she got there.
I think this is too much. Taking a walk would be a good way to stay active and not overdo it.

Be as busy and active as you can be. In other words, if you start to feel tired and like you've done too much then stop and rest.
You can be active but in a slower way, like going on a slow-paced walk instead of your normal pace.

The doc meant dont be layin around all the time, but you do need to be getting some rest too. Dont feel guilty about just sitting around all day one day. You need to get some rest too while you still can before the baby comes!
