Not at all. Your employers should understand that morning sickness is no joke. I had it pretty bad, but I only called out once or twice. My bosses had no complaints and no questions.
Good luck!

Whooo, I've had bad morning sickness this go round and I'm currently 11 weeks and it is slowly getting better. I work with the majority of women and they seem to understand this better. I've called out twice and left work because I just stayed in the bathroom all morning and when if finally stopped, I just was so sick and tired, I couldn't do my work. They seemed to understand and as sick as I've been- I don't really give a damn if they don't understand. Don't feel bad:)

I have called in a couple of times. One time i was nauses all morning while getting ready for work, never threw up. Then while i was driving there i just couldnt hold it in, i tried to pull to the side of the road but i was to late. I threw up all over myself and my car.
I get dry heaves when i brush my teeth and one day everytime i stuck the tooth brush in my mouth i would throw up. And everytime i would throw up i would wait a few minutes and try to brush again, but everytime i would throw up. I called in sick cause i deal with people face to face all day and there was no way i was going to work without brushing my teeth.
I felt a little guilty but i couldnt help it.

No don't feel guilty, even through it is just morning sickness you are still feeling pretty sick. I called in a couple of time and even was sent home a couple of time in my first pregnancy. It is up to you if you feel up to working or not.

Fortunately, I had close to no morning sickness. In fact, I only got sick twice. A little bit of Ginger Ale and saltine crackers seemed to help!
Needless to say, your work should understand the situation and accommodate appropriately.

Don't feel bad....it is all part of being pregnant. Most people understand this. I never called in sick to work, I just would miss school....I was pregnant in high school. Hope you feel better.
* try ginger ale I lived off of that for weeks.

I had to when I was pregnant. If you were that sick that you slept all day, then you shouldnt feel guilty about calling in. No different than if you called in for any other sickness.
