The scariest movie I saw lately, was a Steven King movie called "Rose Red" A haunted house.True story. I looked it up on the internet. It scared me to death. The story, truth behind this story is you can walk down a hallway. And the next minute a few more rooms will be added to it.The real story is this youg couple had a child in the 1900's. She was playing than all of a sudden she vanished.Never saw her again. She was five years old.
This one story happened in the 70's a group of people or women came to see the house. This one women was just walking down a hall. And the hall must have turned or something. She got lost and was never heard from again.
The main family relative who owns it now. Won't tear it down. Because he uses it for tours. There you go, That money again. They said the house was build upon a old Indian Cemetary. ITS CURSED! Well anyway I through the DVD away. I didn't want it in the house.

In terms of overall scariness, I'd say The Exorcist was the most scary movie I've seen. In terms of films that I saw in a theater (not on DVD) with scenes that haunted me for days and creeped me out for a while, the Dawn of the Dead remake/reimaging wins hands down. The initial scene with the little girl attacking the couple in bed completely caught me off guard, and the downbeat ending to the movie made the whole film stick with me for a few weeks.

Halloween (the original) The scary scenes are everyone where you hear the music and you're seeing the scene from Michael Myers' point of view, and you know someone's gonna get it (be murdered). . it's scariest towards the end, when he comes in the house where Jamie Lee Curtis is babysitting.

Let's Scare Jessica To Death. The scariest thing is the voice that keeps calling her name.

House of 1000 Corpses and it's sequel The Devil's Rejects
The constant brutalization of people throughout these two movies left me weirded out.
