Actually you have a 0.1% chance versus someone who has had tubal ligation has a 0.5% chance of pregnancy so in reality its better than surgery.

It used to be common in the 70's-90's but the IUD was then recalled and perfected to the low average it has now.

I'm on mirena and constantly worry about it coming out. I plan on using condoms along with mirena.

The website says it's 99.9% effective. I've used other types of birth control, but I've gotten pregnant (even on the pill), so I'm getting this in two days. Hope it works!

There are always possibilities of getting pregnant. Nothing is 100%. If you are using it, check the labels. It usually tells you how effective it is, and what could make it even less effective (like medications and such). If you are interested in using it, you can look it up on the web for the effectiveness, and side effects, or ask your doctor.
