usually when a miscarriage occurs, the body rejects the fetus and it will come out... however there are cases of ecliptical (spelling) pregnancies where the fetus stays inside and turns to a calcium/stone like state

It is very rare to be pregnant and not know it. But then to think you might have a miscarage...well, I would deffinatly see a doctor. You could possibly still have something in there because usually if you have a miscarage you have to have a D&C done to clean you out. Please see a doctor or talk to a nurse you can trust for good advise.

It is possible to be pregnant and not know it, then have a miscarriage. The chance that a fetus is still in the body a year after a miscarriage is very unlikely. Once a miscarriage has occurred, the body flushes out the fetus naturally. It sometimes looks like white clumps and can be painful.

I going through that right now. I didn't know I was pregnant. I've been bleeding for 2 weeks, so I went to the ER and the pregnancy test came back positive, but that I am miscarrying. The doc says it because my uterus is expelling the 'conception'. He said if I'm still bleeding in a week, I will have to have surgery to scrap out whatevers left inside. So I don't think it would still be inside you after a year... I think you'd know. If you think something is wrong, get to the doc's ASAP. You don't a bigger problem later on....

Yes, it is possible to be pregnant without knowing; although that is even questionable, cause we get periods every month and if you are suddenly not having your periods as you should, then that usually gives you a clue.

I haven't heard about miscarried babies still being in you after a year, but you could be having side-affects from the miscarriage. I would definitley consult your doctor and get an examine, you maybe experiencing something other than side-affects from a miscarriage.

Good question! Yes you can be pregnant and not know. Yes you can have a miscarriage and not know. The baby can still be in you and you not know, BUT the body usually expels the fetus. If it stays in you, you can get very very sick. At this point (if you don't know you had a miscarriage and it is still in you) you would go to your MD or ER. They would do lots of test (and more times than not) find it. Then a D&C would be one of the procedures done to take it out. Hope this helps.

Many women experience miscarriage before they are aware they are pregnant, and some don't even realize they are miscarrying.
However, you would have immediate infections if the fetus did not completely evacuate you Uterus. You would know before a year that you had problems. So it is impossible to carry the miscarried fetus inside of you for a year without knowing.

confident and no. i think of that every time you're in an twist of fate, then you certainly could properly be at an bigger risk for a miscarriage, yet in spite of in case you have been to have a miscarriage after falling down the stairs does no longer mean that that's what unavoidably led to it. no count the type you have a miscarriage, you will locate how accountable your self, yet do no longer. The OB medical doctors themselves can't be a hundred% confident on what reasons a miscarriage, so do no longer you attempt to do it the two.-good success!!

I saw a show a few weeks ago about women who had never given birth to their (dead) baby, and had it removed MANY years later. It was very interesting, but sad, too. They referred to the calcified form as a "stone baby". This first link has photos as well as descriptions (not horrible, but just thought I'd warn everyone)

It seems it only can happen in an ectopic pregnancy - explaining why the fetus isn't actually miscarried.

Anything is possible, but I think all that comes out during a monthly cycle, and after a years worth or periods it should defently be gone.
