What makes you think this would make him agree ? If he says no kittens, then no kittens it is. He will make you take them to an animal shelter.

Unless everybody agrees that another pet would make a great addition to your family, the cats might not be happy. It doesn't seem right to completely surprise you father like that, because he might not react how you want. What if he takes the kittens to a shelter, or finds them a home? What if the kittens get out of the box while you're waiting for him to come home? I would not use that method if I were you. If you really want to convince your father, you should have a talk with him about it. If he remains unreasonable, you might try finding out why he is opposed to the idea. Maybe he has a good reason. Whatever you do, make sure it's in the best interests of the cats as well.

First off, im not sure how old you are but having an animal is a big responsability. i recommend telling your father that you would like a kitten. and that you will feed it and water it. I have had cats that were abandon and i took them in there was six total. well needless i didnt know they were flea infested and they had worms bad. after spending about 450.00 for flea and worms in 6 months. i thought these things had to go, but i have a problem with the human societys and other places like this. i took them and still have them. it can be costly to have animals and if you take in animals that have been drop off along side the road you dont know what they will have after you take them in. but to make things easy for your dad and you to get a kitten just tell him you want one and if he still says no. than what about a outside kitty? hope this helps

Maybe you should compromise with dad on a pet he would be more comfortable with, a puppy perhaps? Remember he has to live with the cat too, there may be a reason that he doesn't want a cat.
Just to warn you, my friend found a stray dog when she was younger and tried to keep it as a pet. Her brother and mom were thrilled with him but the dad couldn't stand the dog for some reason and kicked the crap out of it. They finally had to give him to the humane society to find a better home before their dad killed him. Don't go against your dad's wishes for the best interest of your pet.

Getting him to see the kittens will really help you win the battle. I'm sure the kittens will melt his heart.

well, that plan seems ok to me but then he might try to find the owners and then you'll be screwed!
why not just do what my little brother does...whine and scream and cry your heart out for day after miserable day until your dad gives in defeated.(lol, that does not always work out for my brother so you might want to prepare for a spanking)

Don't do it. I would just take them to an animal shelter and not keep them.
