Describe extra feminine (next time hit your spell checker). I would think that if your female and you act feminine then there is no such thing as being extra feminine. Second it doesn't show that she has insecurities it shows that she is proud to be a female, proud to have a vagina!!!!

Extra feminine? I don't know what that is. Femininity is inside of one and sometimes it comes out differently in one female versus another. I can be "totally feminine" if I so choose, but it the time is right and I feel like it, I can be hot and cool in black leather and denim and still be feminine at the same time. Just a change in the eye makeup can put a different perspective on ones aura.......

Why do women have to be anything else?
I'm feminine according to contemporary American norms, and it's just me being a product of my raising and true to myself. On the other hand, I've seen women (especially newly-come-out ones) butch up because they were around people who feel as you do, and because they need everyone to "know". That's silly and insecure to me.
I'm glad I never cut off my hair or put down my purse or abandoned my lipstick and skirts, not even when I faced pressure from older lesbians when I first came out. My body and mind just aren't meant to be butch or androgynous, even if I do occasionally like to strip furniture and know how to fix some things. I came out as bi when I was 17 because I didn't want to have to hide my true self, and I figure those who need to "know" will learn eventually anyhow. As Fiona Apple said, "Go with yourself!"

Maybe some women just are naturally extra feminine. And how do you define extra feminine?

I think it's probably just their nature. I doubt they think they have to be anything but what they are.
