I agree it gets earlier every year... They barely get done with halloween and they start christmas. What happened to Thanksgiving?

Last year, I was shopping at Walmart, and I kept looking at my daughter, thinking I was going crazy. We were shopping in the Halloween section, but I kept hearing Jingle Bells. Well, we rounded the corner, and guess what, the next isle was Christmas. Mind you, this was a week before Halloween. At least I wasn't going crazy. I hate to see how commercialized it gets. I try to get all my presents, keep to my list, and get them all and wrapped by Thanksgiving. That way I am not stuck with all the people and all the commercialization of a holiday that most people don't know the real meaning of anymore.

It gets earlier every year. Hobby Lobby put out all their Christmas decoration aisles in August. Even before Thanksgiving and Halloween decorations.
I hate all Christmas music except an occasional Carol of the Bells on Christmas day. It's always talking about snow and white this and cold that and open fires .... I live in Texas, let's be realistic.

Honestly, I love seeing the stores decorated for christmas even in november. Im already starting on the inside christmas decorations in my house. I think your right though, they decorate and play christmas music early so that customers are reminded christmas is coming and to start picking up gifts.
Why does it bother people so much?? Not like you'd be listening to the normal music they play at stores. Does the Christmas decoration interfere with your shopping??

it in many situations comes on like the day after thanksgiving. I hate christmas song. There are some radio stations that play it 24/7 until eventually christmas is over and it pisses me off!

I get so mad too! They were even advertising it on the last week of Halloween, and it wasn't even Halloween yet! And then 100.3 (that's a radio station in Detroit) started playing Christmas songs already when it hasn't even been nowhere near December! I think people are doing this because of the presents and not the real reason anymore. Its very depressing to me though.

I know in chicago we have an easy listening station that is only playing Christmas music 24 hours a day, it sucks and it is going to keep me out of stores until I decide to get inot the christmas spirit.

I HATE most all Christamas music, no matter what time of the year. Don't get me wrong, I like Christmas, but they could at least do every other song Christmas instead of all Christmas non stop! Yes, it drives me CRAZY!

I get very upset. Christmas has lost its meaning. I know Christ gave his life for us , and he was given to us as a gift. That's what we are supposed
to remember. Not what we can buy for someone but what can we give. We don't give we celebrate by buying. Then Stores hook up and we are gonners. Its sad that its their excuse to take advantage by black
mailing us into buying something.
Its the giving, making and celebrating Jesus.
Too commercialized and I don't like it
