That's not what makes the US look bad. The past 6 years is what made the US look bad. Just ask any other country in the world except Britain and Japan.

it might put a touch of tarnish on this sparkling, flawless, glorious, war in iraq... which, has done wonder's for our image.... but otherwise, the world will still hold us in the highest regard....
