I have a friend who constantly talks about it, and also has an unhealthy obsession with anything Disney.

The fact that he is obsessed with the Little Mermaid indicates that he wishes he were a woman. That means he could be gay.
If he is also obsessed with anything Disney he probably has tendency to become a pedophile, not necessarily be one though.
Overall, I think he is living in his dreamland and wishing he'd be reborn as a girl and live in a disney land so that he would not have to face the reality that he is a gay.

I love Disney films, too. And I'm gay, but I don't really think there's a connection. (And I'm DEFINITELY not a paedophile.)
Obsessions don't have to be unhealthy - unless he's dressing up as the characters and singing all the time, just let him enjoy what he enjoys.

The Little Mermaid is my husband's favorite disney movie...has been since he was a kid...is he obsessed with it? No, I don't think so and he's as manly a man any man would want to be!! (not gay...)

Gay..... I'm not so sure; you said he likes anything Disney ? Hmmm, does he like Pixar, and Dreamworks animations as well ? If so, he's not gay, he's just a nerd, or animation geek, I'm afraid...
Yup, it sounds like he's just a animation dork.. At least he's out in the open; thank God he's not in the closet !

Nah I wouldn't exactly say it was "gay" because you can't defind a person's sexuality based on the things they watch because if that was true, alot of people would be titled as "gay". He might be a tad bit childish and stuck at one era of his life but then again, you never know. I know i love Disney and I'm 18!

Odd-- But look at the large groups of people collecting anything from dolls to Star Wars memorabilia, et al. Probably not THAT odd, but certainly somewhat odd for sure!

maybe, but healthier than being obsessed with THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Being a disney fanatic is kinda cute by comparison.
