What would you rather have, a flying broom stick or an owl-messenger?

I'd definitely go with the broom stick. Seems like the owls are too picky . . . you know, getting sulky when you're stuck in your room all summer because your aunt and uncle won't let you be seen, and then you need to get a message out but instead the owl pecks your hand.

Hmmm. Let's weigh the pros and cons.
The good thing about having a broom would be you could fly. You could travel. You could have fun with it.
The good thing about having an owl would be you'd never have to pay for telegraphs, buy internet service, or have to bother with the sluggishness of the postal system and the increasing price of postage. You'd also have a pretty pet.
The bad things about having a broom would be it's very uncomfortable to sit on one. You could also fall off and be horribly splatted. You could also be hit by a flock of birds or a low-flying airplane or helicopter.
The bad things about having an owl would be you have to feed it and take care of it and worry if it's made it to the recipient all right, and clean its cage, and feed it mice.
I guess I'd rather have the broomstick, all in all.

Flying broomstick. I imagine that the owl doesn't deliver messages any faster than the post office, and I think that a flying broomstick would be much more fun.

Are you kidding me? People really want the owl?? I would choose the flying broomstick of course! Why would you need an owl, when you have e-mail?

Of the two choices, I'd have to select the flying broomstick. I have a computer for email; and, there is always the post office.

I have email that can deliver faster than an owl, but I don't have a better mode of transportation.
