Walking is a great thing to do - it helps a lot.

Also try sleeping on your left side at night. Due to the way the colon turns in the body, the left side will aid in getting things moving. Also lots of water will be the greatest thing you can do. You should be drinking a lot of water during your pregnancy, and if you don't drink enough, constipation is one of the indicators that come up.

Talk to your doctor before using anything for the constipation. I would use the exercise (walking), drinking the water and sleeping on the left side.

Good luck!

Call your doctor, until you can talk to Dr., try a couple of tablespoons of syrup (Karo or pancake). I am not sure why it works but it does, & in the 50s & 60s, it was used in whole milk to stop constipation.

Try a cup of hot water with a tablespoon of honey and a little lemon juice 3x per day.
Don't try suppositories until talking to your doctor.

When my ex-wife was pregnant w/ our 2nd child, she had a similar problem. We asked her Dr. and suppositories were suggested. They did the trick quite nicely.

Tell your doctor. (S)He will be able to give you the right advice. Or you can speak to a pharmacist who will also be in a position to help.
