Donald Rumsfled has just resigned, even when Bush said that he was doing a Good job, why...?

why do u think he did that? and in replacement Bush has nominated a former CIA officer who is really against Bush and called him "the emperor with no clothes."

Donald Rumsfeld resigned as Defense Secretary due to the aftermath of the midterm elections which saw the GOP losing control of the House of Representives to the Democrats as well as the possibility of the Senate. He steps down after six stormy years from the job due to his managing of the Iraq War as well as the War on Terror. President Bush's nomination of former CIA Director Robert Gates comes as no surprise to anyone. He served as CIA Director under President George H.W. Bush's term, & after leaving that post, Gates spent time writing his memoirs & became presdident of Texas A&M University as well as serving on several corporate boards.

Rummy knew the dems would win, as did Bush and every other thinking person in America. This resignation was planned. Rummy is off to the Island now to live in luxury.

Rummy should have been cut a year ago and this comment comes from a conservative. I didn't like the direction the GOP was taking so i'm waiting til' we can clear house and vote in some republicans who are real conservatives....financially.
