My husband and I are at the last stage of the Visa process and I wanted to make sure he had a fantastic homecoming to the U.S., as he has never been here before. I really want him to have a grand "first impression" since we will be moving back to his country. I was thinking a quiet, romantic, candlelit dinner, rose petals on the sheets and so on. Intimacy later that night is a definite, so I don't need advice on that, but wondered what else I could do his first day that would be above the standard "welcome home."

I think I would decorate in a red, white & blue theme, and play some music like "American Pie", God Bless America, stuff like that.
