I agree with American Werewolf in London, AW in Paris and Underworld for some additional lore. I also like the scene in Dracula with Gary Oldman as a werewolf. In the movie Waxworks, there is also a storyline with a werewolf.

I liked American Werewolf In London. The best one ever is the original The Werewolf with Lon Chaney its a classic and to me the best one. All of the old classic horror movies are the best. Actors like Boris Karloff, Bella Lagosi, Vincent Price, Lon Chaney, and Lon Chaney Jr. made these movies real.

An American Werewolf in London........I think it's the best. It was the first time that we got to see the painful transformation from man to beast, plus it had the cool CCR music playing to it and it was a good movie overall.

In addition to "American Werewolf in London" I liked "Wolf", mostly because of Jack Nicholson's performance; his fight to stay human. And finally him embracing his transformation.
Jack has the uncanny ability to make you see humour in even the most dramatic/traumatic scenes.
Michelle Pfeiffer does a good job as the woman falling for him.
What she does in the end is quite amazing; I don't want to spoil it for you in case you haven't seen it.
If it's been a while and your in the mood "Wolf" is worth a second look .

"The Howling" was good........and "Silver Bullet" was pretty good, I loved them both. There is always the old standard "An American Werewolf in London".
