Unfortunately not.

The democrats will push their agenda....

But guess what? Next electionthe american people can push back and vote in the other party. And if they refuse to represent "the people" we can vote them out too.

Its time for the government to represent the people again.

partisanship is the hinge that politcs revolves on. It is a buzzword. The MAIN problem confronting us is that Congress / Senate / President are not listening and acting on what the people want. They are selectively enforcing laws and disregarding others.

This has little to do with partisanship and more to do with a run away / broken government. As long AS YOU ARE PARTISAN (voting for Dems or Repubs) we are doomed to this fate.

I'm not holding my breath. There's been too much said about Republicans by Democrats about how they were doing everything wrong. Now the shoe is on the other foot.

I do wish we had a GOOD third party to force compromise.

I hope so, but I'm not holding my breath. Both sides think that the stakes are too high to compromise.

Personally, I'd like to see a government that is fiscally conservative and socially progressive. But both sides seem to approve one of those, but not the other. Too bad...

I hope so, because it's beginning to feel like 2 countries, not 2 divisions of the same one with fellow citizenship.

actually, parity hasn't been restored. congress is as imbalanced as it was before...only now more dems than repubs. now it will be time for them to enact their scorched earth policy.
