Well done the previous answerer for linking with footballsite.co.uk. It is a feal footballing site rather than one with just page after page of dry stats. If you look at the Chelsea results for 1957/58 they beat Portsmouth 7-4 on Christmas day 1957 with one J. Greaves scoring 4 (it was the first time Jimmy Greaves scored a hat-trick). Now thats what I call a Christmas day (unless you support Pompey!). The last time Chelsea played on Christmas Day was a year later when they won 3-0 at Blackburn Rovers but I am not sure if that was the last Christmas Day match in the top flight.
