If you are watching the speech right now, have no noticedhow much Bush is stammering, seems at a loss for answers, and is still making the same old excuses?
He really seems to be lost.
Is that the image America wants to prioject to the world?

Yeah I am watching right now. I doubt he is winging it, just terribly unprepared.
This is NOT the image that America wants to project

A President winging it in a speech???

What a bold new concept!

Let me tell you a story..a true story..

There was a president who had to make a wartime speech. He was pretty unpopular at the time and was accussed of starting the war that the US was embroiled in. His critics often insulted his intellegence and made remarks that he looked more like a chimpanzee than a president. He delievered his hastily prepared speech and it was widely regarded as pretty lame at the time but today most Americans know the opening by heart.

The president was Lincoln and the speech was The Gettysburg Address.

What we may criticize now future generations may admire.

Politics is consistant dedication to the art of irony and the skill of hiding hypocrisy.

the guy cant keep his cool, he's not a good public speaker, and tends to jumble words often. no matter how you feel on his politics, thats just facts.

but yes, i think he's really stressed and cant maintain poise right now. he just said "we're constantly adjusting our tactics in iraq" when asked about "staying the course". then, about a minute and a half later, he said "i think it sends a bad signal to the troops when you're constantly changing tactics based on politics"...

this is all in the same speech where he's announcing Rumsfield leaving. now, this is a political move, let him resign before he gets lynched.

"you think i'm nuts? you think my sensiblities left me??"

...... do you want a real answer to that George?

He is full of crap, I think he doesn't care anymore since his term will be over soon and will not get a chance to be re-elected. They should send his dougher to Iraq at least as a nurse to see if he wakes up. I am so tired of bush I think we should go protest to terminate his term before is over, nothing would hurt more!

It does not matter what your comments are.....
whether your a Republican or Democrat or likewise.....
whether you like President Bush or his decisions......
regardless of your thoughts - He is our President!

This is still his job and he is answering the questions to the best of his ability with what is thrown at him.

Enough of this...I'm packing for Margarittaville....

Well we all know Bush's speeches are prewritten, however, these days it does not seem that he is EVEN smart enough to follow them and yes it does appear as though he is winging them!!!

The man is the most powerful person on earth. He's losing it.

"Do you think my sensibilities have lost me?"

Yes Mr. President.

No, it's not the image we want to portray to the world, but we are stuck with this moron for a couple more years.

He is totally clueless.

If you notice, he ALWAYS struggles through most of his speeches. His speech writer must be out of town.

And he's been lying about it, too. This man has single handedly killed off the Republican party.
