This has been our experience for the last 15 out of 15 deliveries. This is highly annoying! They clearly expect that people will round up their tip as a result. (Not us anymore! We round down)!

They say they don't have the .50 cents for the total (which included the tip). Then, how can they give me exact change back if I gave them no tip at all? i.e.-total (with tip) was 14.50, They say they have no change. Then, how could they give me my change from the total without tip $12.50? People, assume I want to pay with cash, but happen not to have exact change this time. Shouldn't they have exact change for each customer? Don't you believe it is because they want to pocket the tips that people round up (as a result of "no change")?

I solved that problem by asking for the total price when ordering and then writing a check and adding the tip in.
If they take checks this could work for you.
Try to be patient with the drivers they don't make that much and the wear and tear costs too. I tip better now than I usted to because I think they deserve it. After all they have saved me allot of work by bringing my meal to the door. I tip the drivers 15% to 20% just like I would a waitress or waiter. You could also start keeping a change jar with coins and a few small bills so you always have exact change too. Just toss your change in each day and toss in a dollar bill too some days. It can be your bonus money.

I usually ask the price when calling; and have the change portion available; so that I can give 1 or 2 dollars for the tip without worrying about change. Sometimes the tip may be included in the delivery charge; and you can opt not to tip if they do not have the change.

Pizza delivery guys don't carry a lot of money because of robbery issues..usually they have more than one order going out at the same time too.
If you go pick up your order, you will notice the price is about one dollar per pizza less than delivery. That extra dollar for delivery is their tip.You don't have to give them anything..
Check the next time you order and ask them how much it will be if you picked up your order instead of having them deliver it? Then ask how much if it is delivered?..You might be surprised.
At least here, our Domino's is like that..When we order delivery where I work,we found out that they were doing this to us.So,now we send someone to pick them up.
But if you order a lot,you should always have a little change laying around just for the tip....

When you order your pizza, tell the manager you've had a problem in the past, and your driver will need to carry approprite change or you will send the pizza back with him and order from their competitor. That will take care of the situation

it's a safety issue, they keep less than $20 on them because they continually get robbed. i pay with a credit card over the phone or by check. don't blame the delivery guy. you should find other means of payment or get change earlier in the day.

Our Pizza guy carries only a small amount of change. I think it is £10.
Find out how much change they are supposed to have from the store, so you know if they are telling porkies.
