I'm 41 dating a man who is 51, we have a ten year difference. How young would you go?

I'd say 10 yrs older is appropriate for me. I wouldn't go younger at all.

As you get older the gap gets wider, so I would say at 41 I wouldn't go younger than 30. Men younger than 30 are still shallow.

I am 38, my husband is 49. I have a stepson who is 31. If I wasn't married I would say the youngest I would date is 35

I wouldn't even go younger than my age. Guys my age and younger party too much. It bothers me. I won't date someone unless they are 4 years older. Then again I don't ahve to worry now because I'm engaged to a guy who is 9 years older. Much more mature.

At the ages you mentioned, you are both at similar stages. The gap is less apparent. For me, I wouldn't go any younger than year. Only because at my age, a huge gap would be very obvious in a few years.

As long as we were compatible & happy together, then I wouldn't let age get in they way at all. It doesn't matter. It's more of a state of mind in this day & age than it is an obstacle to relationships.
