Well, it was always like: Porsches are more fun to drive. Mercedes are more classy and luxurious. Yes, yes, until....the SL65 AMG!!!
Let's assume that money is no object, there is no doubt that if you exclude from the equation the Porsche Carrera GT, among all other Porsches and Mercedes, the best car today is the SL65. Just go online on any search engine and type SL65, and read the reviews. Twin turbo. Mind blowing power: 604 horses. Over 740 lbs of torque. Aggressive lines. Class, technology, grip. It's a shame that you need approx $ 190,000 to get one, otherwise it would be already in my driveway. Oh well....
The SL65 came out last year and it has since been the topic of conversation at jet-set dinner tables in Palm Beach, the Hamptons and Beverly Hills (and lucky valet attendants!).
I tend to agree, Porsches are more fun, but how can you give up 604 plush horses that simply overshadow the 911 (480 hp for the new 2007 version) ????

I like the Porsche 911 Turbo; I am always on Porsche because it maintains its grunt. Observe almost all the Porsche have the same melody. The Porsche are comparatively small cars than Mercedes Benz SL, so Porsche have more handling than Merc. The 911 series have attracted me form years. My cousin has a 2004 Porsche Carrera; I have ridden it many times. Porsche 911 Turbo seems larger than life for me.

Personally I prefer the Porsche 911 Turbo. Mainly because it handles much better than an SL ever could and on a winding road would leave the SL for dead. But the AMG SLs are great and straight line ( Especially the SL 65 AMG) would leave most cars on the planet in its wake. But for me it's the Porsche

Neither... I'd prefer the Tesla Roadster, 0-60 in just under 4 seconds...
