Leeds definatly, well thats assuming your not loaded and live amongst the movie stars in bel air and beverly hills etc. But even if you did....LA is rotten to the core with crime. Leeds has cime for sure, but its nothing like in the same league as the gang crime of the Bloods, Crips and MS-13 etc who murder their best friends if they betray gang rules etc. Your kids will be much safer in the UK, besides also getting free healthcare!

Leeds, LA has high crime rates and slums unless you can afford to live in the rich areas, Leeds isn't half as bad.

I think it all depends on your economical status. Both cities are completely different. Leeds should be good if you want to take advantage of English culture etc.. LA has more of an Urban feel and its way bigger....

I would say that it depends what part of LA you want to move into. There is a wide range of choices, from gang infested 'hoods (team group oriented), to ritzy itsy upscale areas (personal-individual oriented). You will also be exposed to about 2 million mexicans so you better hope your kid likes tortillas.
