I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago. At this point, I'm 7 weeks. Last Sun. and Mon.I was spotting lightly and my doctor had me come in for an U/S. They saw the heartbeat and told me that the sac was laying low in the uterus. The spotting continued and then this past Sun. (11/5) I had severe bleeding. For about 1 1/2 hr. I was going through a pad every 15-30 minutes. Then it just stopped all of a sudden. I passed nothing on Sun., but last week (Wed.) I passed what seemed like a few large blood clots, they seeemed to disapate when they hit the water. This Mon. I had no bleeding, yesterday one large brown spot, and today just a few tiny brown spots. I have had no pain whatsoever, not even a cramp. My SIL said when she MC at 7 weeks it felt like labor. I still have morning sickness, still exhausted, breasts still tender. My Dr. is waiting until 11-22 to examine me again. But in the meantime, I'm going crazy wondering "Am I still pregnant?!" Can anyone help? Thanks!

My sister-in-law was over 5 weeks pregnant when she miscarried. She had been spotting lightly a week before the MC. She said that the pain caused by the cramping was so intense, they had to give her some pain reliever meds at the hospital - the cramping was similar to labor contractions. Then the next day she went to the bathroom and found out that she had passed out a lot of tissue and blood as well. They did an ultrasound, and there was no more gestational sac. It's been over a week since the MC and yet she is still bleeding lightly.
In your case, it's hard to say that what you experienced was a miscarriage since you didn't have any pain or any cramping. Especially when you are that far along - 7 weeks - if it was indeed a miscarriage, I would think that the body would try to expel the contents in your uterus by doing contractions and bleeding at the same time. It is only when it is a very early miscarriage, say like a week or 2 from conception, that you can experience an MC without pain or severe cramps, and the bleeding would come out like a period. I am surprised that your doctor is not worried about the severe bleeding you had and is not doing an ultrasound to check you out. It does happen that some women MC without any cramping or contractions, in which case, they would need a D&C to clear out the uterus. You probably ought to make sure you are still pregnant, because if you miscarried, you will need a D&C for sure, and delaying that process can be bad for you.
On a positive note, there are cases of women bleeding while pregnant and their babies are born healthy. But you just can never be too safe - go get it checked out, even if it means seeing a different doctor or going to the hospital. Severe bleeding while pregnant could be a sign of some other inner problem or complication - you might as well find out.
Goodluck to you!

I had the samething happen to me twice and both times I miscarried. Your doctor should be able to give you a quick blood test to see what level your hormones are. If they dropped, you lost the baby, If they are going up or are High you are still pregnant. It's normal to have some spotting for some people, but heavy bleeding is not normal.( filling a pad in less then 30 minutes is called HEMORRHAGING). Also at 7 wks, you would most likely not see or feel the baby pass out of you. I did NOT have any cramping with either loss. Just Sadness. GO to the ER.. Your doctor should of asked to meet you there right away. Find a new doc Please.
I wish you the best and May God comfort you and surround you with his love and peace.

Its possible you miscarried. Although its not impossible. Sometimes when the uterus closes up for pregnancy there is a puddle of blood against the cervix taht is released (this is how some girls think theyre are their period when pregnant).
Usually though there is severe cramping witha miscarriage, although not always.
I dont understand why your doctor hasnt seen you imediatly. You can go to the ER and tell them you think you miscarried, and they will do an ultrasound to find out.

You need to go to an emergency room! Did you tell your doctor this??? If he was a good doctor he would want you to come in ASAP! It sounds like you could have miscarried, although most women feel pain when they do, so I suggest you look for a hospital to go to, the 22nd is too far away.

Call the doctor and make another sooner appointment. They should see you to see what is going on. It could be a subchorionic bleed, which is not terrible, or it could be a miscarriage. If it is a M/C you might need a D&C to clean out your uterus and prevent infection from setting in. I have had 2 M/C and both were complete, so no D&C was needed. It was very painful, yes. I think painless bleeding could be just a subchorionic bleed, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

It is possible that you miscarried. However, there is no reason for you to have to wait that long to find out. Call a different doctor's office or call your doctor and get rude. I had a miscarriage last year and I know the hardest part was all the testing and waiting. Tell them you want your HCG levels and progesterone levels checked. I wish I knew you personally. I would soooo be calling your doctor for you, and demanding attention. (My friend had to do that for me.)

It is possible that you didn't miscarry. I have known many women who have bled through the entire first trimester of their pregnancy. I don't want to give you false hope however. If you are truely worried I would call your OB and ask if you can be seen earlier then the 22nd.

It sound like you had a miscarriage to me. When I had mine at 5 1/2 weeks I didnt have any pain at all. Tell your doctor you need to go in before that. I would be wondering too. If you wanted to you could wait a couple days and take a HPT. Good Luck!
