It depends on how big the group is. I'd say if it's larger than 16 it's a choir or a chorale. Smaller than that it's a group. It could be an ensemble and if evenly divided voices under 10 a nonet, octet, septet, sestet, pentet, quartet, trio or duo. If there are instruments involved you could call it a band or a combo.

Generally, they are called a "vocal group." Two singers is a "duo"; three are a "trio"; four are a "quartet", then a "quintet" for 5, and a "sextet" for 6, or "octet" for 8. A large group of singers would be called a "choir." (That's pronounced "KWIRE"...) I hope that helps you.....happy singing! Christmas is coming; get ready to go caroling.....

that depends on how many people are in the group, 1 person is a solo, 2 people are a duet, three people are a trio, and four are a quartet. I'm not sure of anything over that.
