Usually when hiring for a sales rep people look for someone who works well with others, has great communication skills, calm and confident, driven. You have to be able to talk to people in all walks of life, being muliti/bilingual helps alot! But most employers are looking for someone who is nice, nice looking, has a good attitude, and that can pitch. And not a baseball. LOL Someone who can make the product seem irrisestable. Good luck. Sales is actually a really fast paced job and can be fun.

The best quality a salesperson can have is the desire to succeed.
Being able to communicate ideas to a prospective customer is a needed asset also. The most successful salespeople are the ones who just will not fail. I recommend you find some product or field you really love and believe in and refuse to fail. Good luck.
