People are fickle. Words are just words. People need to provide the context for the words to mean anything...and even then, meaning can be misinterpreted. It's not about the words -- it's about how the words are communicated, and the people who communicate them.

Words are very fickle. They can change from good to bad, happy to sad, hot to cold in a heart beat!

There's also paradox and metaphors - that's the beauty of the engliish language. Everything in it's own context.

So true!
"Off" means off until we say :"the alarm is going off", then it means on!!!
Sanction is crazy, it means support, but is used to mean a political boycott!! What kind of support is that? ;o)
Wicked means wonderful and I can go on and on and on.

Because we need to communicate some how . . . hand gestures and touching just don't do it completely.
