Shrug it off. I believe in karma. You are not stupid. And she will get hers.

Well, use all negatives and turn them into positives! If your grades need work, she was the right person to tell you, work on them, you wouldnt have felt bad if you knew those grades were the best you can do, so just put more effort into school that will make you feel better. As far for that woman... she was probably having personal issues and you came in the wrong moment, but like i said things dont just happen for no reason use this as encouragement to prove to yourself and her that if you got in you deserved it!! Hold your head up high!! and the next time you go back to her make sure she looks up grades again and tell her that she should be more respectful to others, and that whatever issues she may be having to leave them at home... ;)

I would not have let that woman talk to me like that. I had someone try and use "big" words like I was a dumb *** once and thought I didnt understand what she was saying. But I flat told her that I knew what she was saying and I told her that if she wanted to use big words, go ahead. And I am not in school for nothing. Since then, she's been so nice to me. But I would have stood up for myself and told her, it's not your fault she is pissed off and hates her job. But she needs to realize that you are the student and you are lucky you got into the prgram you are in cause you are smart and good at whatever you do. Tell her off in a nice way or not.. I am very blunt a lot and sounds mean, but if someone is mean to me, I am mean back. They then realize how you arent a wimp and wont take **** from anyone!! Sorry people are mean to you cause their life sucks! Hope your day gets better. go eat some ice cream or whatever you want.

I mostly feel stupid walking into situations dealing with academics because you already feel like the person at the desk is the expert and knows all the correct answers, however there is no reason this woman should be treating you in this way, especially when you walked in with money in your hand.
Always remember, you are paying to go to school and do not have to feel little because of some woman with a bug up her ***
maybe she has a personal problem with it, like her kid didnt get into the program and you did. you never know

I've had it happen. I think everyone has had that experience at one point or another. My supervisor made feel like an a** one day. The way she spoke to me, I felt as big as an ant! I was so pi**ed! it happened when she just began working at my work place. Now, she's so nice to me. I never forgot how rude she was to me though. She had a position of authority and abused it by telling me off knowing I couldn't respond they I would've under different circumstances. For that reason, I wasn't able to tell her about her parts! I would've lost my job! Don't worry. The day will pass and this too will pass.

Your probably not the only one she does this to.
She sounds like a very insecure and unhappy person.
People that have some authority and are miserable do this all the time.
They are not comfortable in there own skin and hate the human race.
They are lonely lonely people that do not know how to reach out and they grow miserable day by day.
Your probably a very nice person, somehow these miserable souls have radar and they are able to zoom certain people like you and strike that nerve.

On a daily basis I am made to feel stupid at work then I go home and deal with it there too. You get used to it the older you get. And as long as you know different then don't let the petty people put you down.

You are superior in the fact that you vented your frustration here, instead of lambasting the idiot for her rudeness. She may be like me....as my friends claim I am very standoffish and come off as arrogant and insensitive. I do not do so on purpose, but apparently, unknown to me, this is a strong part of my personality.

Some people have their heads shoved so far up their arses that they cant see whats going on around them. Dont let it get to you. She may think she is smarter and/or better educated than you, but she is really just a conceited bigot.

Such "power players" are, unfortunately, scattered through our lives. Just be thankful that you do not have to live with her/interact with her on a daily basis. No doubt she treates her family members in a similar fashion. How lucky are you to not count yourself among them!
